The Workshop
What would make you change your mind?
One decision. One question. A different way to think.
Pick a decision you’ve already made. A learning format. A purchase. How to approach a project. Something you can still reconsider.
For the next two minutes, use AI to examine the thinking behind it.
Try this in your preferred conversational AI tool. You can type or use voice.
1. Share your decision.
Tell AI what you chose and why. Then ask it one question about your thinking. Replace the brackets before sending:
For example: “I decided to turn our onboarding workshop into a self-paced course because people need more flexibility.”
2. Answer honestly. Then explore.
Answer the question AI asks. You don’t have to defend your original choice. Then send:
3. What changed?
Did you change your decision, find something you need to investigate, or understand more clearly why you’re keeping it?
The useful result may be a better question to investigate.
You just practiced judgment by examining an assumption, creativity by considering an alternative, and adaptability by being willing to reconsider.
AI’s challenge can be flawed, too. Keep the parts that help you think and check any factual claims before acting. Changing your mind is not the goal. Understanding your decision is.
